Description
Chenin, also called Pineau de la Loire in Touraine, is native from the Loire Valley. This varietal originated in Anjou a long time ago and is now also used in Touraine. The name of this grape comes from the “Mount Chenin” where the monks started producing wines from this varietal for the first time.
Since its apparition in the Loire, this varietal has been travelling a lot as it can adapt to many types of soils. It gives birth to very diverse wines (dry, medium- dry, semi-sweet, sweet or sparkling) with very typical aromas of honey, citrus, quince and toasted bread.
Description
The quality of the grapes produce an outstanding wine that is very crisp with excellent minerality. The wine presents aromatic hues of floral aromas. The grapes come from vines that are planted in limestone and siliceous soils.
