About this Winery

Familia Falasco has humble beginnings. In 1939 Octavio Rufino Falasco emigrated from Italy to Argentina to start a wine business. He started by selling wine from 2 demi-johns on his bicycle. Eventually he was able to buy vineyards and over time built a prominent and successful business. Today Familia Falasco are one of the contry's leading producers. Octavio's grandson Jorge oversees the running of this family business.

  • TASTING NOTES:
    Yellow color with greenish glitters. Intense floral aroma (roses and jasmine) and fruit aromas (grape and white peach). Fresh and young on the palat with complex fruit.

Description

The use of grapes from wines grown on different soil, climates and regions in Mendoza, where winters are chilly, summers are dry and warm, nights are cool, soil are rich and melt water from the Andes is used for irrigating them, allows us to obtain a high quality product both in young wines and wines with aging potential. Selected grapes with fermentation at a controlled temperature. Aging 6 months in 60% american and 40% french inner staves.

    Gold yellow color with greenish shades. Complex aromas combining tropical fruit with the vanilla and toasty touch provided by wood. Complex, and persistent on the palat with balanced acidity and a honeyed finish

  • TASTING NOTES:
    Intense, purplish ruby red color. Complex aroma of berries where cherry marmalade, plum, raspberry and raisin stand out. Chocolate, coffee, tobacco, vanilla and caramel notes. The palate is fruity with ripe tannins, balanced, sweet, delicate and round finish.
