Having a several generations-long family tradition of farming in Baião region, Alexandre Gomes inherited a connection to the land, the people and the farming activities that have fascinated him since an early age. In 1991 he began planting a new vineyard of about spread over a number of plots, as Quintal, Tapadinha, Padronelo, Sarrabalde, Bogalhão, and Várzea, where native grape varieties of the region, Avesso, Arinto and Alvarinho, were planted.
Description
A blend of regional grape varieties whose success has led to a gold medal at AWC Vienna wine competition. Vegan friendly and made with minimal intervention this wine is fresh, aromatic and fruit forward.
Description
The grapes were received in the cellar in boxes of 24 kg. Manual selection was followed by destemming. Soft pneumatic pressing. Must fermented in stainless steel vats at low temperature. Stabilization and light filtering. No animal derivatives were used in the winemaking process, making this wine vegan-friendly. Special care was taken during winemaking, minimizing any intervention, with the purpose of producing a natural wine that expresses the particularities of the plots of vines, grape varieties and climate.
